In ventive, this thought

Can be.

But as I was thinking

It got me to thinking

Who’s done this same thinking

Before me?

 Maybe DaVinci

Wright Brothers pair

Or Newton under

A tree.

Ten years ago, no,

More like a hundred

Why even way back

In B.C.

This thought attacked

Destroying the first; yes

Gave it a

Death-dealing blow.

The shame of it is

First thought went unshared.

 Inventive?

I’ll never know.
